Brass City Ballet Certificate Student's Dress Code 2009-10
All Female Certificate Students (A - E level) will need to purchase leotards from Capezio American Ballet Theatre’s Academy Collection.  They can be purchased at the following websites:

A1:                Forget Me Not (Blue): ABT studio line
A2:                Forget Me Not (Blue) ABT studio line (child sizes)
                      Light Blue Capezio (adult sizes)
                      Please only in cap sleeve or camisole

B1 & B2 :    Dark Rose:  ABT studio line
C1 & C2:     Damson Plum: ABT studio line
D :                Burgundy: ABT studio line
E :                Any color from ABT Studio line
Dancers are permitted to wear short ballet skirts for pointe class and variations.

On Saturdays, any solid color leotard is permitted for Certificate Students.

Dress code for Modern class is: any solid color leotard and black tights. (this only applies to Certificate Students, not adults) 

Boys: 
White leotard, black footed tights and black ballet slippers


Leotards for Non – Certificate Students:


Discovery Classes – no dress code.
Dance Basics, Ballet One, Two and Three – pale pink leotard(for  Dance Basics, Ballet I and II - with character skirt purchased from Brass City Ballet.), pale pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
All other classes - All other students (fourth grade and up) who do not participate in the Certificate Program may wear a black leotard, pale pink tights, pink ballet slippers.

Recreational Program
We offer recreational classes for children starting at age 18 months and year round open enrollment for teens and adults.  Placement in classes is based on age, maturity and level of experience.

Certificate Ballet Program

Our Certificate Ballet Program is a pre-professional program for students age 8 and up.  The curriculum is concentrated on ballet with additional classes in modern and/or jazz.  The ballet syllabus is based on the Vaganova Method widely used in Russia and many dance schools around the world.   Graduates of the Certificate Program have gone on to professional careers in dance companies and schools.
